It was hard to leave these two this morning. We spent a couple days at my dads in Encinitas seeing my sister who is about to have her second baby boy.
I had to catch the train back to LA. And when I left Roan clutched me sobbing “I’m Going to miss you Sooo much.” It killed me. It felt so over dramatic and harrowing.
But I have to work. No sooner do I get off the train than I go to record a VoiceOver for Looney Tunes. Ill be playing Daffy Duck’s therapist. After that I have a producers session for a part on a pilot. And after that I have two shows back to back.
Long day.
It’s weird because as often as I talk about wanting more acting work- now that I have it- it was hard to leave Encinitas and my dads home.
It’s raining and there was a big fire in his fireplace. Trees surround the house and its quiet and cozy. After 30 years he remodeled his kitchen this year and the house is like a fabulous honey lodge.
So I said to Roan “I don’t want to leave either but I have to work.”
Which is weird because I don’t work often. I’m all his. We are together all the time.
I read this quote “TIME is the greatest luxury” and I find it to be true.
Time to spend with your loved ones.
But it’s good for Roan and I to separate sometimes.
I’m very aware of the plethora of his childhood I’ve gotten to share with him. There are moms who see their kids for 30 min in the morning and 30 at night.
I get that I’ve been spoiled.
